Connect Appointments are recruiting a Waste Operative to join our client’s team within the Macclesfield area.
What’s on offer?
- Ongoing temporary position
- Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00
- Paid weekly at £13.89 per hour
Working as a Waste Operative, your role is to effectively collect, process, sort and generally manage the customer’s waste. As such, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site
- Safe use of tail lift and other mobile plant
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all wastes
- Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
- Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
- Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work

- You’re adaptable, with good common sense
- You’re keen and ambition to learn and progress
- Have a degree of fitness due to the nature of the role
