Connect Appointments are recruiting a reliable and experienced individual with a background in Production to join our client’s weekend production team as a Team Leader within their Grangemouth facility.

- £30,000 to £38,000 per annum
- 13% shift allowance for Saturday and Sunday working
Working as Production Team Leader your will be leading a team of operational staff, and supporting the production manager to ensure the highest standards of quality. Whilst achieving customer service levels and production targets, and ensuring H&S standards.
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environment assessments are carried out to protect products and staff
- Liaise with Production Administrator to help organise resources needed to accomplish production targets
- Liaise with external recruitment agencies to provide adequate headcount requirements in line with the production plan
- Train and develop the team by providing direction and support to enable them to deliver their objectives and optimise and develop their performance
- Utilise the input and the expertise of the other departments to drive the production performance such as, quality, compliance, engineering, planning, packaging improvement and procurement teams
- Ensure production teams on-line quality checks are monitored and carried out in accordance with quality testing standards
- Ensure compliance to all external accreditation requirements such as, BRC, ISO900, OHSAS18001 and HMRC requirements
- Ensure best practices are shared and replicated with other departments and colleagues (internal and external) to improve production performance, quality, safety and environment
To be successful within this Team Leader position you will have previous experience managing a team in a production, manufacturing or similar environment – preferably within a Bottling Hall or other FMCG production environment.
Other key skills, traits and experience that will prove beneficial include:
- Knowledge of BRC, ISO, OHSAS and CI procedures
- Knowledge of 5s and other GMP practices
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective team worker, strong influencer, communicator and motivator
- Good communication skills across all levels of the business, including experience of union environment
