Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Manager to join our food production client in Bathgate.
What’s on offer? A full-time temporary to permanent role for the right candidate; with a competitive salary of £40,000 to £43,000 (depending on experience); working a 4 on-4 off night shift pattern of 7pm to 7am.

As Manufacturing Manager, you’ll lead a night shift production team in a busy food manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for delivering key KPIs across safety, quality, service, and cost – while also acting as the site’s senior contact during out-of-hours operations.
Key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Manager include:
- Leading and developing the night shift team to meet operational goals
- Managing hygiene, changeovers, and shift handovers
- Driving a strong safety and continuous improvement culture
- Controlling raw material usage and operational costs
- Supporting audits, investigations, and performance reporting
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Previous food production management experience is essential
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety, H&S, and cost control
- IT skills, including Excel and MRP/ERP systems (SAP experience desirable)
- Food manufacturing, BRC standards, or bakery production – desirable
- Previous work in a 24/7 or 12-hour shift environment – desirable
