Connect Appointments are currently seeking a Landfill Site Operative/Labourer to join our client’s team working within the landfill site in Swadlincote.

The role will encourage the candidate to learn and gain experience of carrying out the aftercare, monitoring and maintenance of water, gas and leachate systems, including getting involved with the general maintenance duties of associated infrastructure on the landfill sites, and become familiar with the process.

The role will require you to work in a small team of Maintenance Technicians, but sometimes independently when trained.

Your main duties as a Landfill Site Operative/Labourer will require you to:

• Undertake routine collection and evaluation of monitoring data to ensure it is accurate – this will take time to learn
• This role will require you to collect data onsite every day, this means working outside in all weathers and dealing with certain maintenance jobs that can be dirty at times

Qualifications and Experience:

• Full clean driving licence (preferred)
• Enjoys outside work
• Adaptable and practical aptitude
• Keen and ambitious to learn
• A reasonable level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
