Connect Appointments are recruiting a Waste Operative/FLT Driver to join our client’s team within the Newcastle area.
What’s on offer?
- Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00
- Paid weekly at £13.50 per hour
Working as a Waste Operative, your role is to effectively collect, process, sort and generally manage the customer’s waste. As such, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site
- Safe use of forklift truck
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all wastes
- Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
- Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
- Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work
What we’re looking for?
- You’re adaptable, with good common sense
- You have a valid FLT Counterbalance licence
- You’re keen and ambition to learn and progress
- Have a degree of fitness due to the nature of the role
