Connect Appointments is recruiting a Transport Administrator to join an established logistics business based in Sherburn-in-Elmet on a permanent basis.

Our client operates a busy, fast-paced transport operation serving customers across the UK.

What’s on offer?

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
  • £28,500 per annum, paid monthly

As a Transport Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Coordinating deliveries to ensure they are completed on time and to schedule
  • Tracking vehicle movements and monitoring delivery progress throughout the day
  • Maintaining accurate records including driver logs and shipment documentation
  • Updating internal systems with shipment status, delays and route changes
  • Communicating with warehouse teams, drivers and customers regarding delivery updates
  • Reporting issues such as breakdowns, traffic delays and missed deliveries promptly

The ideal Transport Administrator will have:

  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics or administration role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in IT systems and accurate data entry
  • A calm, methodical approach to problem solving under pressure
