Connect Appointments has a new opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Fitter (preferably with electrical bias) to undertake work with our Fife-based client.

Working out of their production facility in Rosyth, this is your chance to get started with one of the area’s best known companies – immediate starts available!

Operating on a rotating weekly schedule, you will be working:

  • Week One: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm – with an early Friday finish
  • Week Two: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm – with an early Friday finish

Working as a Multi Skilled Fitter your duties will include, but not limited to providing essential support to the production process by promptly diagnosing and addressing faults within a fast-paced manufacturing environment; including:

  • Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools
  • Reading and interpreting project plans
  • Coordinating with other staff about projects
  • Finding and fixing faults within the facility
  • Carrying out planned maintenance checks

To be successful within this Multi Skilled Fitter position you will ideally have experience in a production, manufacturing or similar environment – experience in an FMCG environment is preferred. Possess the relevant qualifications, which can include a recognised apprenticeship in either an electrical or mechanical discipline.

Other skills and traits that would be beneficial include:

  • Experience operating conveyors, vacuum feeds and control systems
  • The ability to quickly and accurately conducting fault finding activities
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Able to understand both written and verbal instructions
