Connect Appointments is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with an established logistics business based in Oldham, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Our client operates a busy distribution operation offering a mix of multidrop and distance delivery work, with consistent Monday to Friday hours and overtime available.
What’s on offer?
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
- Monday to Friday, 6am starts with an average 3pm finish
- £15 to £16 per hour (£16.81 to £17.93 inclusive of holiday pay)
- Overtime is readily available
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
- Completing a mix of multidrop and longer distance deliveries
- Offloading deliveries by manual handling and forklift
- Completing all delivery paperwork and documentation accurately
- Maintaining safe and professional driving standards at all times
To be considered as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence with a minimum of 1 year’s driving experience
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
- No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes
- Good physical fitness due to the manual handling element of the role
