Connect Appointments are recruiting Forklift Drivers to join our prestigious food production and manufacturing client in Bathgate, on a full-time ongoing position.

- £12.67 per hour – paid weekly

Working as a Forklift Driver you will be responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, a FLT Driver may undertake general warehouse duties as and when needed, including case counting, hand ball, stocking taking.
Your duties as a FLT Driver will include:
- Receiving goods in from suppliers
- Stowing away finished goods
- Picking orders from stock pick sheets
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
- Preparing despatch paperwork
To be successful in this forklift position you will have a valid FLT counterbalance license, combined with: Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail; The physical ability to perform manual labour; The ability to work well in a team; Knowledge of warehouse H&S requirements; The ability to itemise and record stock for inventories.
