Your duties as a CNC Machine Setter will be exactly what it says on the tin. You will be provided with set standards and specifications to adhere to when operating the CNC machines. You can also expect to:
- Produce to a high standard, according to drawings and specifications
- Setting machines correctly and efficiently
- Carry out key checks and complete any paperwork
Ideally, you will have previous experience operating CNC Machines, as well as key setting skills. Additionally, the successful CNC Machine Setter will have:
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Strong programming and tool management skills
- Sound literacy and numeracy abilities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, including 5’s, SMED and 6-Sigma
