Connect Driver Solutions – one of the most trusted driving and transport recruitment agencies in the UK – is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver for a for a variety of contracts across Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

- Pay: £15 to £21 per hour – paid weekly via PAYE
- Schedule: Day shifts and night shifts available
- Job Type: Flexible work – ongoing, part-time, ad hoc or full-time options

Whether you’re looking for regular tramping work or something more flexible, we have a role to suit you. Your duties as a Class 1 Tramper Driver will include, but not limited to:
- Operating Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for general haulage and trunking
- Completing regular vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Complying with driver hours, Working Time Directive, and rest period regulations
- Communicating effectively with the transport team
To be successful in this Class 1 Tramper Driver role, you will have the following skills, traits and experience:
- A valid CAT C+E (Class 1 / LGV1 / HGV1) licence
- Minimum 6 months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles
- A valid CPC (Driver Qualification Card) and digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points – we cannot accept DD, CD, DR, IN, or TT codes
- Additional licences (e.g. HIAB, ADR) are desirable but not essential
