Connect Appointments is recruiting a Bakery Retail Assistant to join a busy, well-loved bakery based in Whitburn.
Our client operates a popular bakery retail outlet, requiring a reliable and customer-focused individual to support the smooth running of the shop across a flexible part-time rota.
What’s on offer?
- Ongoing temporary position
- 24 hours per week – shifts allocated based on the needs of the business
- Shifts run as full days or half days between 7:30am and 3pm
- £12.75 per hour – paid weekly
Please Note: Shifts are weighted toward the end of the week, with flexibility required for holiday and absence cover.
As a Bakery Retail Assistant, your duties will include:
- Welcoming customers and delivering a friendly, attentive service throughout every visit
- Handling cash and processing transactions accurately
- Rotating stock and taking in deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-presented shop environment throughout the shift
To be considered as a Bakery Retail Assistant, you will need:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, retail or hospitality environment
- A warm, approachable manner with a genuine focus on customer service
- Full flexibility to work varying shifts as directed by the business
- A reliable, well-presented approach to work
