Connect Appointments is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join an established food distribution business based in Bury.
Our client supplies ambient and frozen food products to local schools, and you’ll be picking orders ready for the next day’s deliveries. It’s a fast-paced environment, and once you’re trained there’s progression onto headset picking.
What’s on offer?
- Full-time permanent position
- Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 4am
- Paid at £13 per hour
- Progression onto headset picking after training
- Immediate start available
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
- Picking food orders ready for delivery to schools
- Working at pace to meet nightly despatch deadlines
- Handling ambient, frozen and meat products including pork
- Maintaining accuracy throughout the picking process
- Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe
Please Note: Successful applicants must be comfortable handling meat products, including pork.
To be considered as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:
- Previous picking experience is essential
- The ability to work at pace in a busy warehouse environment
- Comfortable handling meat products including pork
- A reliable, accurate approach to work
