Connect Appointments is recruiting a Fitter’s Mate to join an established engineering business based in Auchtermuchty, but working across sites on the east coast.
You’ll be working alongside an engineer, assisting with general labouring on-site: carrying tools and ladders, helping with set-up and clear-up, and supporting the job wherever needed.
You’ll travel to each site with the engineer, so no need for your own transport, and no formal qualifications are required. It’s a good route in if you’re practically minded and want to work alongside skilled engineers.
What’s on offer?
- Full-time permanent position
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm – or when the task is finished
- Paid at £15 per hour
As a Fitter’s Mate, your duties will include:
- Assisting an engineer with general labouring duties on site
- Carrying and handling tools, ladders and equipment
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Supporting with general site duties as required
To be considered as a Fitter’s Mate, you will need:
- Good physical fitness as this is a hands-on practical role
- A reliable, hardworking approach with good timekeeping
- The ability to work well alongside others
- A CSCS card is an advantage but not essential
