Connect Appointments is recruiting a Press Brake Operator to join an established shopfitting manufacturer based in Lesmahagow on a temporary to permanent basis.
Experienced press brake operators are welcome, but if you’ve got solid machine operating experience and the right attitude, our client is happy to train you up.
What’s on offer?
- Temporary to permanent opportunity
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Overtime available during the week and on Saturdays
- Paid at £13.71 per hour
As a Press Brake Operator, your duties will include:
- Setting and operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal components
- Selecting appropriate tooling for each job
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out quality checks and measuring finished parts against specification
- Following all health and safety procedures throughout the shift
To be considered as a Press Brake Operator, you will need:
- Previous press brake experience is ideal, though machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and accuracy with measurements
- A reliable, hands-on approach to work
