This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend working, sitting within a structured transport operation and reporting directly into the Transport Manager. As a Transport Planner, your duties will include:
- Scheduling drivers and planning delivery routes to maximise efficiency
- Reviewing and adjusting plans based on driver availability and operational changes
- Working closely with transport supervisors to ensure deliveries run on time and accurately
- Keeping the Transport Manager informed on daily operational performance
To be considered as a Transport Planner, you will need:
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Good working knowledge of driver hours, compliance and transport regulations
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with operational teams
