Connect Appointments have a fantastic opportunity with long-term employment available for skilled and reliable individuals in the Cambuslang area to become Workshop Operatives with our growing client.
Pay rate: £13.38 to £14.75 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 6am to 4pm
We’re welcoming applications with experience of using power tools with basic carpentry skills as well as individuals new to the trade – full training provided.
As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Working on production and construction benches, preparing timber frames using different hand-held tools, saws, and machines
- Manual labour that involves heavy lifting
- Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to and maintained at all times
- General housekeeping duties and manual handling
The ideal Workshop Operative will be: Able to work well in a team, or as an individual; Flexible and eager to be trained to work on all benches to keep production running smoothly; Experienced from working in a similar role
