Please note – The ability to pass a DBS/Disclosure check is essential for this role.
Schedule: Ad hoc shifts so candidates must be flexible
Pay rate: £12.21 per hour, rising to £12.38 per hour after 12 weeks of service
As a Driver’s Mate you will assist in the delivery and transportation of a variety of goods, while providing excellent customer service.
Skills and requirements:
- Assist with home removals, lifting heavy and awkward items safely
- Load and unload furniture, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage
- Provide excellent customer service while working directly with customers
To be successful as a Driver’s Mate, you will:
- Have, or have the ability to pass, a DBS/Disclosure (essential)
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Have strong communication skills
- Have strong communication skills and be physically fit as this can be a very demanding but rewarding profession

What’s on offer?

- Working Monday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm
- £12.27 per hour – paid weekly

Working as a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading of delivery vans
- Picking and transportation of customer orders
- Ensuring that all items that are loaded/unloaded match the relevant paperwork
- Reporting any damaged/missing items to Warehouse Managers/Supervisors
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining warehouse equipment
- Assisting with warehouse inventory controls
- General warehouse and labourer duties
To be successful in Warehouse Operative position you will ideally have previous experience in a warehouse or other fast paced environment, although not essential as full training is provided. Combined with:
- Good physical strength and fitness
- Excellent team-working skills
- A degree of computer literacy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A valid counterbalance forklift license
- Great organisational and record-keeping skills
- The ability to work effectively under limited supervision

Connect Appointments are recruiting a Waste Operative/Labourer to join our client’s team within the Macclesfield area.
What’s on offer?
- Monday to Thursday, 14:00 to 22:00 & Friday, 11:00 to 19:00
- Paid weekly at £13.88 per hour
Working as a Waste Operative/Labourer, your role is to effectively collect, process, sort and generally manage the customer’s waste. As such, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site
- Safe use of forklift, pallet rider, van and other mobile plant
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all wastes
- Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
- Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
- Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work
What we’re looking for?
- A current and valid Forklift license
- A current and valid drivers license
- You’re adaptable, with good common sense
- You’re keen and ambition to learn and progress
- Have a degree of fitness due to the nature of the role
