Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become Driver’s Mates with our Carlisle based delivery client.

What’s on offer?

This is ad hoc work so candidates must be flexible
£12.21 per hour (rising to £12.38 after 12 weeks)

Working as a Driver’s Mate, you’ll assist in the delivery of a variety of goods, while providing excellent customer service. Your duties will include:

Assisting with home removals, lifting heavy and awkward items safely
Loading and unloading furniture, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage
Providing excellent customer service while working directly with customers

To be successful as a Driver’s Mate, you’ll have or have the ability to pass a DBS/Disclosure check. Combined with strong communication skills, and be physically fit – as this can be a very demanding but rewarding position.

Pay rate: £12.21 per hour, rising to £12.38 per hour after 12 weeks of service

To be successful as a Driver’s Mate, you will:

Have, or have the ability to pass, a DBS/Disclosure (essential)
Be able to work as part of a team
Have strong communication skills
Have strong communication skills and be physically fit as this can be a very demanding but rewarding profession
