Working as a Waste Operative/Labourer, your role is to effectively collect, process, sort and generally manage the customer’s waste. As such, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around site
• Safe use of forklift, pallet rider, van and other mobile plant
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage of all wastes
• Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes
• Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up
• Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required
• Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work
