Connect Appointments is recruiting a Bakery Retail Assistant to join a busy bakery in Airdrie.
Our client is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and takes pride in making every customer feel welcome. If that sounds like you, this could be a great fit.
What’s on offer?
- Temporary position moving to permanent after 12 weeks
- 32.5 hours per week on a rota basis, between Monday to Saturday
- Shift start times of 7:30/8am, and finishing at 4pm
- A weekend off every three weeks on a rotational basis
- Paid at £12.75 per hour
As a Bakery Retail Assistant, your duties will include:
- Welcoming customers warmly and assisting with enquiries and product recommendations
- Serving customers and processing transactions accurately using the till system
- Restocking shelves and fridges and maintaining attractive, well-presented displays
- Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well-presented throughout the day
- Supporting stock management and organising stockroom areas
To be considered as a Bakery Retail Assistant, you will need:
- A genuine warmth with customers and a natural ability to make people feel at ease
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, retail or hospitality environment is advantageous
- A reliable, punctual approach to work
- The ability to work well as part of a small, close-knit team
