Connect Appointments Hospitality Division are recruiting for an experienced General Manager on behalf of our prestigious 4 star Hotel branded client based in the busy city of Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Manager to take on a exciting new challenge with an ambitious established, and fast growing Hotel franchise company.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the General Manager will lead and direct the daily needs of the whole Hotel full service operation. This will encompass all aspects of the Hotels areas, to include front of house, health club and spa,meeting and events, and a large focus on food and beverage, and C&E delivery whilst maintaining of quality brand standards.


As the General Manager you will also be involved in managing and driving the teams, delivery of the budget, financial forecasting, cost control of departments, influencing spend per head and driving sales throughout the teams under your remit across the Hotel. The Hotel is renowned locally as a busy leisure destination, as well as holding key corporate events, so strong experience in either/both would be advantageous for this high profile role.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Reporting in to the Regional Operations Manager - presenting business performance.
  • Overall site responsibility for all fiscal/budgetary deliveries.
  • Driving the business forwards, with innovation, and clear direction of focus.
  • Recruitment, mentoring and training of HOD's.
  • Maintaining and exceeding MICE guests expectations and delivery through the teams.
  • Identifying, and maximising guest engagement opportunities through the teams in the property.
  • Be hands on in in providing clear direction and strategy with HOD's in line with Brand expectations, and company requirements.
  • Provide Regional Manager with ongoing performance and business forecasting as required.
  • Ensuring your teams are meeting and exceeding sales targets, encouraging and motivating them to support the business activities.
  • Deliver through the teams consistency of service standards and positive customer journey delivery across the business.

The Person:

As the General Manager, you will be a highly self-motivated, approachable, confident and well presented individual at all times.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced existing General Manager/ or experienced Deputy General Manager from a large 4 star hospitality background, and have a proven track record of delivering fantastic services as well as business growth results year on year.

Ideally you will have very strong leadership, communication skills, and possess great negotiation skills and have a real passion for food and beverage.The ideal candidate will also hold a full, clean UK driving licence.
