The Role:
Connect Appointments Hospitality Division are recruiting for a reliable, hardworking Cook candidate, on behalf of our well respected, family owned Garden Centre client. This is based in Linlithgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work very sociable hours in a very friendly, inclusive environment. You will approximately cooking for 50 - 60 people daily, providing wholesome menu classics and snacks.
Responsibilities:
- Breakfast and Lunch service.
- Making light snacks, sandwiches, Paninis, cakes and scones.
- Making a daily fresh soup.
- Maintaining a clean working environment, upkeep of work station.
- Working to a set menu making fresh food daily.
- Ad-hoc tasks as and when required to support the Front of House team.
- No cash handling responsibilities or key holding required.
- Managing costings and GPs of the kitchen.
- Managing daily wastage.
- Awareness of health and hygiene / Cooksafe procedures.
- Ordering of food.
- Supervising one other member of staff.
The Person:
The ideal Cook will be a reliable individual, possessing an outgoing personality with a warm approach to all levels of people. You need to be adaptive, have excellent timekeeping skills, work unsupervised at times, as well as being a team player. Uniform will not be provided however you will need to wear Chef whites and safety shoes.
The Package:
Our client is offering a very competitive salary for the Cook role, with fantastic sociable working hours of 09:30am - 17:00pm daily, working five days out of seven. Discount on food and beverage.
Due to location, own transport is essential.
