The Role:

Connect Appointments are currently looking to recruit a passionate, highly classically trained, experienced Head Chef candidate for our 5 Star Hotelier/Restaurant client, located at this stunning private setting in the unspoilt Scottish Highlands location.

The right candidate must be able to hold, and maintain, a minimum of three AA rosettes standards, however previous experience working too, or currently at 1 star Michelin standards, would be hignly desirable/advantageous for this unique opportunity.

In this role you will be working in concert with one of the Worlds greatest culinary globally recognised names in the industry, so this role is for someone looking to push themselves to be recognised as the very best.

The Person:

As the Head Chef you will be used to bringing together the best of locally sourced quality seasonal ingredients, with a modern twist of innovation on classical dishes and culinary fine dining gastronomic experiences. The kitchen has accomplished so far an impressive, opulent, and extremely special dining journey for its discerning patrons, which will need to be continually evolved, to the same highest culinary standards.

As Head Chef, you will take also take full control of the daily operations from provision to the Restaurant, and the exclusive C&E areas, ensuring the health and safety/cleanliness of all areas, stock controls, on-going menu planning/development costing, continual record keeping of staffs training and development of the dedicated team, and the food safety controls and measures of the Kitchen.

A "leading by example" attitude is a key requirement for the role, as is a desire, and passion to create something truely culinary memorable; to make every guest's experience as gastronomically magical should always be the prime consideration.

Key requirements for this Executive Head chef position are:

  • Held a similar position in a 2/3 AA Rosette/ OR 1 Michelin star hotel/restaurant property for at least 2 years or more.
  • Outstanding proven ability of kitchen management/leadership.
  • Outstanding levels of communication, people management skills, coaching and training of others.
  • Good IT understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
  • Certification in health and safety training/ COSHH/ RIDDOR/and potentially Nebosh level will be considered.
