Head Housekeeper.

The Role:

Connect Appointments Hospitality Division are currently recruiting for a Head Housekeeper on behalf of our luxury bespoke Hotel Client based in Perthshire.

This is a hands-on leadership Head Housekeeper role, you will be leading a dedicated team to support the upkeep, cleaning, hygiene of the beautiful Hotel rooms and public areas.

Assisting in leading the small, dedicated Housekeeping team, it will require the ideal candidate to be hands on with cleaning duties, monitoring, checking, and ensuring the quality of cleaning consistency required across the Hotel.

Ideally this role would suit an existing experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager perhaps who is looking to step into their first Head Housekeeping role. Our client is looking for an ambitious driven Housekeeping professional with previous experience of a 4/5 star Hotel Housekeeping department. With at least a couple of years supervisory experience of the tasks, duties, required whilst working with a team of diverse people.

The Person:

The ideal Head Housekeeper needs to possess a great attention to detail. Be a first class communicator on all levels, have great people management skills, be a punctual timekeeper to tasks/duties required to be carried out, be well organised, able to motivate, and inspire others to be the best they can be on a daily basis.

As the Head Housekeeper you need to be also conversant with managing costs, whether that be staff rotas, or use of cleaning materials in line with departmental budgets. In the role you will also benefit from having good Health & Safety knowledge, insight to maintenance management, COSHH, HACCP procedures, whilst having also having environmental awareness.

You will need to possess a "positive can-do attitude", be willing to be hands on, whilst also being approachable at all times, possess a friendly outlook and a quality driven mentality to all that you do; and expect of others. Having previous housekeeping experience is a must, given the levels of responsibility this role comes with.
