Connect Appointments have an amazing opportunity for a Spirit Supply Co-ordinator to join one of our fantastic clients in the Broxburn area to become a permanent member of the team.

Our Client is a global leader in their industry and excels in packaging high-end products, they work with some of the world's leading spirits producers, manufacturing and bottling beverages which include whisky, rum, vodka and gin. They wish to extend their team to welcome a Spirit Supply Co-ordinator to assist in the co-ordination, monitoring and controlling of their multifaceted spirit demand program.

Key to that, in this office based, administrative role, a successful candidate will ensure spirit demand requirements are met on time and in full to satisfy a complex and demanding bottling schedule. You will also be responsible for scheduling and controlling a busy bulk despatch program.

Relationship building is critical and the ability to be flexible, agile and work within a multi-functional team is crucial.

Working in a fast-growing business in the spirits industry can be very demanding at times so you must relish a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will be responsible for identifying and executing Spirit Demand requirements on a daily and weekly basis to ensure spirit is available to meet busy bottling schedule
  • You will work cross-functionally with Planning and Spirit Prep to ensure bottling demands are met on time and in full
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling bulk stocks
  • You will be required to monitor Production Order progress and resolve issues with Customers and Suppliers to meet order requirements, pro-actively managing spirit receipts to cancel, push out or pull in as required
  • Identify shortages and pro-actively chase resolution to minimise Production Scheduling impact.
  • Closely liaise with Customers and transport companies to manage a busy transport program
  • Prepare and manage Spirit Out-turns on a timely basis for Customers
  • Plan and co-ordinate bulk despatches including any processing requirements.
  • You will be responsible for invoicing of all bulk activities
  • Responsible for stock management including the return of remnants and the management of obsolete stock
  • Ensure that all spirit movements fully comply with HMRC requirements and legislation and are recorded on appropriate processing systems for accounting records. (GTA, TROPOS - Whisky Workbench)
  • Communicate daily with a wide range of Customers and Suppliers to ensure the process is being managed effectively.

Experience and skills required:

  • An end to end knowledge and understanding of full bulk supply processing from empty wood to bottling consumption including all spirit variations is required
  • You should be familiar with manufacturing/bottling processes and HMRC regulations
  • You should have a robust working knowledge of MRP/ERP based systems
  • You should have a solid understanding and experience of planning and scheduling
  • Tropos or SAP and GTA experience would be beneficial
  • You should be highly proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Proficient verbal and written skills
  • Proficient Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
  • Effective communication and influencing skill

Bus stop close to the site although own transport would be beneficial.
