The hospitality industry is the third largest employer in the UK, representing 10 per cent of employment opportunities and we are excited to see our hospitality division flourish.

From high level director positions to housekeeping and front of house staff there is a position to suit every candidate. Our dedicated hospitality division consultants are at the forefront of getting people into temporary, permanent work or ad-hoc employment.

Working throughout Scotland and other key areas of the UK, our hospitality division specialises in supplying staff to a range of opportunities in the dynamic hospitality marketplace.

From tourist attractions to indulgent spas, leisure facilities to city centre hotels and beyond we can facilitate all your staffing needs, or get you into a role best suited for your needs. Within an industry that is continually growing, we are always looking for enthusiastic, resilient staff and we work closely with our clients to provide them with candidates that will take their businesses to new heights.

Our team within the Connect Appointments hospitality division know the industry inside and out, we understand exactly what it takes to excel. For two years our hospitality division has built a strong relationship with our clients to take Connect Appointments Hospitality from strength to strength.

This is largely due to our bespoke service and the team’s knowledge of the demands and dedication required to succeed in the industry.

We have experience working with clients at regional operations level, unit and contract level delivery, as well as four and five-star hotels.

Many of our consultants also have direct experience working in the industry, so know exactly what it takes for businesses to go above and beyond.

Working with candidates across the board – whether you’re looking to further your career in the leisure, spa, hotel or restaurant industry – we actively recruit for general managers, chefs de parties, executive level chefs, managers, sales and marketing staff, housekeepers and therapists.

A temporary or permanent role in the industry requires you to be flexible and accommodating, sometimes with the obligation to work unsociable hours, but the rewards are worth it, and there are many job opportunities continually arising. Employers look for candidates with positive, can-do attitudes and approachable personalities.

Director of our hospitality division, Matthew Reeves is committed to growing our work within the sector and getting people into employment. A rich and diverse industry, hospitality offers a range of opportunities.

Having previously built a career in the world of hospitality, working his way up to Exec Head Chef, then onto Regional Operations Management, Matthew has an invaluable insight into the specialisms the team recruits for the sector.

“The hospitality sector is forever changing and evolving either through new innovative food concepts, or through quality hotel and restaurant launches coming onto the market,” enthuses Matthew.

“With all this interest comes career opportunities with new employers to the area, or existing established employers adding new services to their clientele.”

Of the credentials that employers in the sector look for, Matthew explains: “This is a people focused industry, so basic essentials are the ability to deal and communicate with others, confidence, and the ability to think on one’s feet – no two days are the same; nor two customers.”
