HOW TO: APPLYING WITH CONNECT APPOINTMENTS

Our recruitment team are experts in their field: getting you into full-time, part-time or temporary employment. Before the team can assist you in your job search, you’ll need to complete our application form.

We’re here to take you through every step of the application form before you do it in one of our branches.

PERSONAL DETAILS

During your job-search we need to know more about you. The first section of the application form will ask you simple questions about yourself including: name, date of birth, address, and contact details.

Ensure you bring along your National Insurance Number. Within your personal details we will need to know of any unspent convictions, if you have a driving licence or own a car. This will quickly be followed by your employment history – you only need to complete this section if you don’t bring your CV with you.

Within your personal details you will be required to disclose any health and/or disability, plus your emergency contact. From here you’ll be asked to write down your bank details, references, payslips, and declare that all the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

HM REVENUE & CUSTOMS

In the second form, you will be required to complete a starter checklist from HM Revenue & Customs. This is a quick section where you’ll fill out personal information (similar to the personal details section), before an employee statement on when you last had paid employment.

TERMS OF ENGAGEMENTS

The terms of engagement for agency workers document is four pages of critical information that you need to read and understand prior to signing. Ensure you read this document carefully, if you have any questions our helpful team can clarify all areas of the document.

It might seem daunting to start off with, but we assure you it is simply to make sure your private information is kept confidential and you’re fully aware of all terminology and agreements to your agency work with Connect Appointments.

COMPETENCY TEST

A competency test measures your knowledge and understanding of skills that might be essential for a potential job. The test consists of 17 questions, varying from multiple choice, general mathematics and problem solving.

You won’t be allowed to use a calculator or your mobile phone during the test, but you can do rough work to help you reach your answer.

After you have completed the application form a member of the Connect team will help take your application further. You’ll be clocking into paid work in no time.
